On October 8, 2014, we will hold our Annual Empty Plate Luncheon and Awards Celebration at Trinity Family Life Center. This year marks the 11th year of the successful Empty Plate Campaign. We recognize our sponsors and supporters including Bon Secours, Dominion, Genworth, UPS, CareMore, JenCare, PACE and M.H. West & Co., Inc. We are honored to recognize the recipients of this year's awards:
The Phoebe and Frank Hall Humanitarian Award for Service to Vintage Virginians - Mrs. Sherry Peterson, Chief Executive Officer, Alzheimer's
Association, Greater Richmond Chapter

The 2014 Community Service Award -  Mrs. Gloria Johnson, Retired Educator, Senior Connections Board of Directors

With the anticipated proceeds from this year's luncheon, we will be able to fill more empty plates for needy seniors who often have no other sources for assistance. We will be able to assist them with meals, rides, home care, technology, volunteer support and other critical needs. The generosity of our contributors gives much hope for the future. Therefore, as we prepare for this year's luncheon, we extend special thanks to those who have already contributed to our Empty Plate Campaign. We also extend a special invitation to others who may wish to contribute to this important effort before October 8, 2014. Your contributions will enable us to reach our modest goal of $70,000 that is needed to fill the empty plates of older adults and caregivers in our communities. Single tickets are $50 and table sponsorships range from $500 to $5,000. Any contribution is needed and greatly appreciated. You may contribute on our website or send your check to Senior Connections, CAAA at 24 E. Cary St., Richmond, VA 23219. Please be sure to save the date for our 11th Annual Empty Plate Luncheon and Celebration on Wednesday, October 8, 2014. We look forward to having you with us. Thanks for helping us fill "empty plates" this year and into the future!
