Senior Connections is in the midst of integrating its Strategic Plan with other planning efforts to address the future. We have 3 focus areas:
(1) Visibility and Branding for the Agency, our Programs and Issues that Impact Current and Future Generations, (2) Programs and Service Priorities to Maximize Resources for Current and Future Participants, and (3) Funding and Resources for Short and Long Term Sustainability of our Programs and Services.
Planning efforts that support our Strategic Plan are leadership in the development of our Region’s first Age Wave Plan and the updating of our Four- Year Plan for Aging Services. We will include components of the Age Wave and Four Year Plans in our Strategic Plan for implementation. We will have lead responsibility for implementation of Age Wave Plan initiatives that promote coordinated transportation and mobility management to enhance the ability of residents to use available resources. Our Four-Year Plan for Aging Services is a description of services that support seniors who need home and community services. It is also an assessment of current and future needs.
We will convene public input sessions on our various planning efforts in May as part of our Older Americans Month activities. Sessions will be held at community locations at 10 a.m. on the following dates:
