Again this year, Senior Connections is saluting and recognizing volunteers. Volunteers are the backbone of our communities and they do extraordinary work in support of important causes and groups. As our work gets underway in implementing our Five-Year Strategic Plan, promoting volunteerism is among our top priorities. As we salute volunteers, we recognize their extraordinary contributions. We appreciate the tremendous commitment made by volunteers who support so many important missions, including ours at Senior Connections to empower seniors to live with dignity and choice. We particularily want to thank volunteers for sharing hope, encouragement and inspiration as they provide a variety of services. We appreciate all that volunteers do to improve the quality of life and well-being of those served, both young and old. Each year, volunteers give selflessly of their time and talents. We know that they are all inspired to do more when they see the incredible results of their service to others in our community. As we measure our progress this year, we again place volunteerism at the top of our list of priorities. As the designated Area Agency on Aging for our region since 1973, Senior Connections promotes the work of volunteers. During the month of February and throughout 2013, we salute all volunteers. We give special recognition to those volunteers who promote and support Senior Connections as the designated Area Agency on Aging for the Richmond Metropolitan Region. Thank you for being our partners and advocates as we celebrate our 40th Anniversary in 2013!
